Skid Row Housing Trust is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Housing and Leasing Placement Assistant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Housing and Leasing Placement Assistant will have primary responsibility for the intake process associated with all housing programs. Specific responsibilities include:
          Assist applicants in completing housing documents.
          Maintain housing waiting list.
          Maintain application files.
          Manage general office functions.
          Assist applicants with necessary paperwork recertification as needed.
          Conduct interviews and assess applicants.
          Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications:  

One year of experience providing direct social services to very low income and homeless individuals and training or work related experience in social welfare or related fields; experience in working with persons who are mentally ill, HIV positive, have chemical dependency issues, or are multi-diagnosed is highly desirable. Knowledge of federal, state, and local welfare programs (particularly homeless programs); Excellent oral and written communication skills required; Ability to comply with confidentiality requirements; Knowledge of Downtown Los Angeles service providers and resources, a plus; Must have high level of competence with spreadsheet (Excel), database and word processing programs.

Base pay:  

The salary range for this position is $25,000 - $30,000 annually, depending on experience.

Assistant Project Manager - Housing Development


Working under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager works as part of a team and assists in a full range of development and related activities for a variety of housing development projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide project management support to the Senior Project Manager. Assist in conducting financial feasibility analysis for potential affordable housing developments. Assist in the preparation of applications for construction acquisition, predevelopment, and permanent financing. Assist in the preparation of loan applications and proposals to various private and public funding agencies related to affordable housing development projects. Provide support with loan closings including working with attorneys, lenders, investors, and escrow and title companies in the coordination and delivery of due diligence, legal and financial documents. Attend construction meetings and interface with general contractors, architects, and other consultants. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Project Manager and Housing Development Director.

Qualifications:  

Two (2) or more years of experience in real estate/housing development, architecture, urban planning, business or finance, preferably with a non-profit agency or a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a related field and one (1) to two (2) years experience in low income housing development, multi-family project development or a related activity, preferably in the non-profit sector.

Base pay:  

Salary range $36,000 to $40,000/annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
